Responsibilities
Rebecca is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions in the College of Engineering from large-scale multi-course development to small-scale technological integrations. She works closely with the Virginia Tech Engineering Online team, Engineering faculty, and Engineering students to create engaging learning environments for different Engineering disciplines.
Education
Rebecca is a PhD Candidate in Instructional Design and Technology in the School of Education. She currently holds a graduate certificate in Learning Sciences from Virginia Tech, a MA and Honors BA in History, and a BEd. in Adult Education from Brock University, Canada. She is an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).
Background
Rebecca joined VT in 2019 as a graduate assistant. She has over 4 years in group benefits insurance focused on training and development and customer service. Additionally, she has worked as a volunteer tutor for over ten years for adults with disabilities. She currently volunteers with the Literacy Volunteers of New River Valley (LVNRV).
