Ryan Spoon

Responsibilities

Ryan Spoon is the Director of Information Technology for the Virginia Tech College of Engineering, coordinating and facilitating college-level initiatives that relate to the use of information and instructional technologies. He and his team also provide high-quality IT services and support for the college’s dean’s office and students.

Background

Ryan has worked in IT management for the past fifteen years, eleven of which have been with Virginia Tech. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Radford University and a Master of Information Technology from Virginia Tech, specializing in IT security and big data.
