Responsibilities
Alex is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity. He currently serves as an instructor for the Galileo seminar for first year engineering students.
Education
Alex started his academic career at Virginia Tech in 2014 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2017. Completing a Master of Science in Business Administration – Business Analytics in 2021. And is currently working on his PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
Background
Alex joined CEED in the fall of 2018 working with managing safety training in the inVenTs Studio in Hoge Hall. After running the studio for 3 years Alex has joined the instructor’s team in educating freshmen students in the Galileo Seminar. Originally from Virginia Beach, he started at Tidewater Community College before coming to Virginia Tech where he worked in various research labs and engineering teams around campus while pursuing his undergraduate degree. Currently he is working to complete his dissertation in the TREC lab through the development of the mechanical design of PANDORA, a humanoid robot.
