Responsibilities
Trey is responsible for recruitment and retention for the College of Engineering graduate programs. He will develop, lead and implement a strategic plan for graduate student success.
Education
Trey received a Ph.D. in Curriculum Instruction from Virginia Tech in 2009. His area of research was examining the adjustment of engineering students in a summer bridge program.
Background
Trey worked at Cornell University as Associate Director of Advising and Diversity in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning where he managed multicultural recruitment and coordinated advising and support for multicultural students. He then assumed the position of Associate Director of Diversity Programs in Engineering where he managed the Engineering Summer Scholars Program, CU Empower Mentoring Program and other activities. In 2013, Trey joined the Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives (OADI) as Lecturer and Director of Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program, and then became Director of Student Success Programs and Associate Director of OADI. During his free time, he enjoys watching movies, traveling and playing spades .
