Cynthia Hampton

Postdoctoral Associate

Responsibilities

Dr. Hampton (she/her) assists with the research and evaluation activities related to pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, and faculty initiatives as a postdoctoral research fellow with CEED.

Education

Dr. Hampton received her Ph.D. in Engineering Education (2020) and her M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering (2019) from Virginia Tech's College of Engineering.  She received her B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering from Kansas State University's College of Engineering.  

Background

Dr. Hampton has co-led college-wide transformational change efforts in the evaluation of engineering faculty teaching responsibilities for promotion and tenure, directed summer bridge programs for incoming undergraduates in engineering, and led student peer support initiatives.  Dr. Hampton's interests include transformational change efforts, system dynamics, student support systems, knowledge management, and organizational strategy.
