Responsibilities

DeAnna directs the Peer Mentoring Program, the Hypatia and Galileo living-learning communities, invents collaboration, and other programs related to the retention of current engineering students.

Background

A strong advocate for the retention of at-risk students, conducted research on retention rates of minority students in predominantly white institutions.  Her professional interests and research focus on the retention of underrepresented and underserved students with a concentration on first-generation college students.
