Undergraduate Student Research

Through a variety of university programs, we strive to offer undergraduates access to hands-on, experiential learning opportunities early on in their academic careers.

Through various departments and the larger university network, the College is able to offer a variety of research experiences for undergraduates enrolled in engineering programs - both at Virginia Tech and with partner institutions abroad. 

Student Design Spaces and Labs

The College of Engineering is home to a wide array of student design spaces, open laboratories, and other creative workspaces. These labs provide undergraduate students with direct access to tools, equipment, materials, and faculty expertise that allow them to apply their knowledge within practical settings and scenarios.
