We're preparing the next generation of global leaders who are ready to tackle some of the most complex problems facing the world today.

The College of Engineering offers a first-rate engineering curriculum designed to produce global engineers committed to solving 21st century problems. From studying artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and manufacturing to health sciences, robotics, and everything in between, our engineers graduate from Virginia Tech equipped with the technical know-how to make real, positive impacts in the world.

Virginia Tech students can attend classes at the Blacksburg and Washington D.C., metro area campuses or online. Engineering undergraduate students major in one of 15 majors within the college, entering their majors as second-year students or transfers. Engineering graduate students choose from 18 areas of study that include traditional research-based programs, online programs, and flexible professional oriented programs, like the master of engineering degree, a non-research program, that can be completed in three semesters.
