The Chateaubriand Graduate Fellowship

The Chateaubriand Graduate Fellowship
Location: France
Term: 4-9 months of research that start between September 1 and April 1
Amount: Stipend of up to 1,400 €/month (depending on other sources of funding) for a 4-9 month period and support for travel expenses and student health insurance.
Deadline: Applications for the 2018 – 2019 academic year will open in October 2017

 

German Chancellor Fellowship

German Chancellor Fellowship
Location: Host Institution in Germany (chosen by applicant)
Term: October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018
Amount: 2,150 EUR, 2,450 EUR or 2,750 EUR per month, depending on the fellow’s qualifications. This stipend includes a travel allowance and a contribution towards health and liability insurance.
Deadline: September 15, 2017

Boren Fellowship

Boren Fellowship
Location: Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East

Term: minimum 12 weeks, maximum 24 months; begin no earlier than June 1, 2016 and no later than March 1, 2017
  International study has a maximum of 12 months
Amount: up to $24,000 for overseas study; maximum award for combined overseas and domestic language study is $30,000
Deadline 2015 - 2016: January 28, 2017 at 5 pm EST
The 2017-18 application will be available in late-August

East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students (EAPSI)

East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students (EAPSI)
Location: Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore or Taiwan
Term: All institutes, except Japan, last approximately eight weeks from June to August. The institute in Japan lasts approximately ten weeks from June to August.
Amount: $5,000 stipend, roundtrip international airfare, and will be supported to attend a pre-departure orientation in the Washington, D.C. area.
Deadline: Second Thursday in November (11/09/17)

Graduate DAAD Study Scholarship

Graduate DAAD Study Scholarship
Location: Germany
Term: October 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019 (German academic year)
Amount: 750 Euros per month, health insurance, flat rate travel subsidy. Limited funds available for a rent subsidy and family allowance.
Deadline: November 4, 2017 (postmark)
  Applications may be submitted online until 11pm Central European Time on the deadline date.  The application hard copy (paper) must be submitted no later than one week after the deadline.

The American-Scandinavian Foundation Grant
Location: Research or study in one or more Scandinavian country

Amount: Fellowships up to $23,000 and grants up to $5,000
