Why I Serve On The Board

I am deeply committed to working on the challenges in higher education, particularly engineering education as our world changes so rapidly and the need for talented engineers to tackle new challenges keeps increasing. I am excited to part of the Advisory Board as we move to address the opportunities that the new many years will bring. I appreciate the opportunity to participate with this Board and their willingness to embrace a non-alumni perspective.

What is your focus within engineering education

I am focused on ensuring that future engineers receive the best education in not only engineering basics and principles, but also better understand their responsibilities as global citizens. We need to focus on providing students with the skills and tools they will need—including analytical, communication, and leadership skills—as well as the experience they need to be successful in whatever they choose do to.
