AutoDrive
The objective of this AutoDrive competition is to plan, design, and build a fully autonomous ground vehicle in the next three years.
What is Autodrive?
The objective of this competition is to plan, design, and build a fully autonomous ground vehicle in the next three years. The team will be provided a Chevy Bolt Electric in which they will have to convert into an autonomous vehicle. The vehicle will then be put to the test in a rigorous urban driving course. These teams not only learn how to develop cutting edge technology, but also learn project planning and development, effective communication and presentation skills, and the ins and out of intellectual property.
Who can join?
The faculties and teams in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech compete in the highest of technological competitions from the DARPA Grand Challenge, DARPA Urban Challenge, to now the AutoDrive Collegiate Competition. These interdisciplinary teams are dedicated to pushing the envelope in the autonomous systems fields.
