Spring 2024 Engineering Orientation: Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration

Virtual academic advising and course registration is a series of modules, events, and meetings designed to support you as you transition to college and is required for all new engineering students. This experience is in addition to the University First-Year and Transfer Spring Orientation. Spring 2024 Engineering Orientation Timeline:

1. November 3 - December 3: Complete the engineering orientation checklist items
2. November 8: Received the College of Engineering Orientation Welcome email
3. December 4: Received the Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration email
4. December 4-January 11: Attend mandatory virtual one-on-one academic advising for your major, dates vary by major (this can be done after you begin registering for courses)
5. December 4-January 22:  Register for courses, this will be an ongoing process and can begin prior to meeting with an academic advisor
6. December 15: view the mandatory virtual COE overview session 
7. January 12: Attend university orientation on January 12, 2024. (additional details coming soon) 
8. January 16: Classes begin
