Engineering Orientation: Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration - Summer/Fall 2024

Virtual academic advising and course registration is a series of modules, events, and meetings designed to support you as you transition to college and is required for all new engineering students. This experience is in addition to the University First-Year and Transfer Fall Orientation. Engineering Orientation Timeline:

1. May 1 - June 12: Complete the engineering orientation checklist items
2. May 20: Receive the College of Engineering Orientation Welcome email
3. June 7: Receive the Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration email
4. June 12 - July 26: Attend mandatory virtual one-on-one academic advising for your major, dates vary by major (this can be done after you begin registering for courses)
5. June 12 - August 30 : Register for Fall 2024 courses (this will be an ongoing process throughout the summer and can begin prior to meeting with an academic advisor)
6. June 12 - July 24: Attend one of the mandatory virtual COE overview sessions (schedule below)
7. June 12 - July 24: Attend optional virtual COE Q&A sessions (schedule below)

Advance registation will not be required for any of these sessions. You only need to attend one of these virtual dates (all Wednesdays):
