Current high school juniors may also apply to the RISE program. New participants and returning students will attend the Engineering Open House the spring of junior year. Students are bused to campus, arriving on Sunday afternoon. They stay overnight in a local hotel, and take part in an evening orientation program that includes dinner in one of the dining halls, a student panel and evening entertainment in the BreakZONE. On Monday, the students participate in the College of Engineering Open House activities to give them more information about the university and majors within Engineering. Participants return home Monday evening.
This RISE event will take place Sunday, March 31st through Monday, April 1, 2019. Application deadline is Monday, March 11, 2019.
Students who participated in the RISE program as sophomores need only to complete the registration form.
The RISE application consists of four parts:
Recommendations (Two are required from a math, science, or technology teacher)
