How to scan share directories with Identity Finder
- Starting at the main screen in Identity Finder
- Click the Identities tab
- Ensure that all identity types you wish to scan for are selected.
- For Windows:
- Click the Locations tab
- Click the Custom Folders drop down
- Click Customize Folder List
- For Mac:
- Ensure that you are connected to the server share. If not, click Go > Connect to Server and connect to the share.
- Click Preferences > Folders
- Click the "..."
- Select the share folder to be scanned and click Ok
- Click Add
- Repeat steps 5 - 7 until all folders are listed
- Click Ok
- Windows: Click Main > Start
- Mac: Click Start
- Wait, clean, rescan, and done
