James Stilwell

James Ashton Stilwell, a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech, boasts a stellar 4.0 GPA. Hailing from Mechanicsville, VA, he finds immense pride in being a part of the Virginia Tech engineering community. What he values most about this journey is the university's commitment to nurturing its students through a knowledgeable faculty and robust academic programs.

Outside of his academic pursuits, James enjoys the company of his two siblings as well as his furry companions, Odie the Yorkie and Penny the Beagle. He's an enthusiast of cycling and martial arts, hobbies that offer him both physical fitness and mental discipline.

James has a soft spot for SpongeBob as his favorite cartoon character, admiring the character's ability to always see the bright side of any situation. When it comes to music, he gravitates towards rock, and his preferred movie is "Pixels."

One of his role models is his father, who exemplifies selflessness and unwavering support for others. Looking forward, James dreams of leveraging his electrical engineering degree to secure a fulfilling job that aligns with his passions and further enhances his skills.

Aside from his studies, James is actively involved in his campus ministry, LOVT, where he holds the roles of Secretary and Treasurer. Lastly, if he could change one thing, it would be to extend daylight until 8 PM throughout the year, ensuring more time for outdoor activities and adventures.
