"We all are on our journey and must do what is best for ourselves. And never struggle alone."

Isabella Villarente is from Suffern, New York, and is a Junior in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a 3.42 GPA. She says the best thing about being a Virginia Tech Engineer is having access to a program, classes, professors, fellow students, research, clubs, and organizations that offer one of the top engineering experiences in the nation. Now that she is at Virginia Tech, she dreams about getting her Master’s either at Virginia Tech or a college in New York and focusing on robotics or user experience in Human Factors and Ergonomics.

Isabella was a mentee, mentor, and outreach committee member in Galipatia and she connects freshmen engineers at Virginia Tech to the surrounding community through events such as teaching kids how to build boats and towers, as a volunteer service.
