"Those who fail to plan, plan to fail"

Taiwo Ashimi is a second-year student at Virginia Tech, currently pursuing a B.S. with an undecided major and a perfect 4.0 GPA. He hails from Manassas and enjoys being part of the community at Virginia Tech. Taiwo is passionate about soccer, appreciating music, and researching new technologies to contribute to the betterment of society. He has one sibling and his favorite cartoon character is Tom from Tom and Jerry, who he admires for his perseverance.

Taiwo enjoys listening to Afrobeats and considers "Life itself" as his favorite film. He is inspired by Praise Asalu, who exemplifies hard work and consistency, and he aspires to follow a similar path of continuous self-improvement. As a middle schooler, Taiwo dreamed of saving the world, a goal he still holds onto today, hoping to one day make a significant contribution to humanity. He was involved with the CEED program as a mentee and is currently not involved in volunteer service but is interested in making a difference in the way the world works. His guiding principle is, "Those who fail to plan, plan to fail."
