Diego Penadillo

Diego Penadillo is a second-year student at Virginia Tech, pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. With a perfect 4.0 GPA, Diego takes advantage of the resources and opportunities available at the university to succeed. He's involved with the Hokie Electric Vehicle Team and has participated in an AHORA mentor group. Diego also volunteers with the Marching Virginians, contributing to initiatives like Hokies for the Hungry.

Hailing from Ashburn, VA, Diego enjoys playing music, going on walks, and spending time with friends through video games. His favorite cartoon character is Gumball Watterson, who he admires for his resilience. Diego’s love for rock music is reflected in his hobbies, and his favorite film is Oppenheimer. Inspired by his father's calm and solution-oriented approach to life, Diego dreams of creating new technologies to benefit future generations.
