Erica Badu is a 2nd-year Biomedical Engineering student at Virginia Tech, hailing from Woodbridge, VA. With a GPA of 3.42, Erica is passionate about the numerous events, resources, and opportunities available to her as a VA Tech Engineer, which help her pursue her degree.

Erica enjoys painting and doing hair & lashes in her free time. Although she doesn't have any pets and has no siblings, she finds joy in hobbies that allow her to express creativity.

Erica's favorite cartoon character is SpongeBob, as his lively and positive attitude resonates with her. She loves listening to Afrobeats and her favorite film is "Anyone But You." Her role model is the current Vice President, Kamala Harris, who inspires Erica by proving that women can accomplish anything despite existing norms and stereotypes.

During middle school, Erica dreamt of becoming a mathematician. Now at Virginia Tech, her goal is to help people in any way she can, aiming to give back and support others. She participated in the CEED Mentorship Program during her first semester and is actively involved in community development through her LLC, Ujima.

If Erica could change one thing in the world, it would be to eradicate poverty, reflecting her deep desire to make a positive impact on society.
