Rachel Smith

Rachel is a junior in Chemical Engineering with minors in Green Engineering and Environmental Economics. She is from Chicago, Illinois and loves to hike, crochet, and read in her free time. She also loves music and plays clarinet in the Marching Virginians at football games as well as the Hokies Pep Band at basketball games. At VT, Rachel is involved in undergraduate research, serves as an AIChE mentor, and is an active member in the Virginia Tech Bird Club. She loves to travel and learn about international cultures and is excited to study abroad in Germany this summer for Unit Operations Lab. Rachel is very passionate about outreach and is very excited to serve as a GE ambassador!
