Falan Peters

Falan is currently a sophomore at Virginia Tech majoring in mechanical engineering. She is from Botetourt, Virginia, and spends her spare time reading, listening to live music, running, and enjoying Smith Mountain Lake. Falan has been involved in undergraduate research at VT including GrayUR and Design For Impact where she is passionate about design challenges and engineering processes. She has visited Denmark and Sweden for a soccer tournament and Mexico with her family. She traveled with the Rising Sophomore Abroad Program to Italy and Germany where she learned the importance of global engineering. She is planning to study abroad again soon and for more international trips with her family. Falan is excited to share these opportunities with other VT engineers!
