Anastasia Felibert

Anastasia Felibert, hails from the coastal city of Virginia Beach. Anastasia is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech, where she is in her junior year with an impressive GPA of 3.6. The vibrant community and robust support system at Virginia Tech are what Anastasia values most about her journey as an engineer, finding solace in knowing that help is always within reach, whether it's from fellow students or dedicated professors.

Born into a bustling household with three younger siblings, Anastasia finds joy in the company of her beloved pets: a cat named Hades and a dog named Luie. When she's not immersed in her studies, Anastasia indulges in her passion for baking and cooking, often experimenting with new recipes to share with friends. Her green thumb is evident as she tends to her plants, relishing in the tranquility of the outdoors during the summer months.

Reflecting on her childhood, Anastasia's admiration for her favorite cartoon character, Snoopy, stems from her father's love for the Peanuts comic strip. Snoopy's sassy demeanor and whimsical adventures have left a lasting impression on Anastasia, sparking her fascination with space and aerospace engineering. As she navigates her academic journey, Anastasia draws inspiration from her aunt, a confident and respected figure in the engineering field, who serves as a guiding light for her aspirations.

Despite initially dreaming of a career in editing during her middle school years, Anastasia's passion for aerospace engineering has taken flight since her enrollment at Virginia Tech. Motivated by her experiences in introductory courses, Anastasia dreams of designing and enhancing fighter jets in the future. Active within the College of Engineering, Anastasia has contributed her time to programs like CEED and various volunteer initiatives, including summer camps at her local church, where she delights in engaging with children.

Looking ahead, Anastasia harbors a desire to challenge societal perceptions of failure, advocating for a culture that embraces mistakes as valuable learning opportunities rather than shortcomings to be avoided.
