"Tough times never last"

Kelechi Osueke is from Lagos, Nigeria, a junior in Aerospace Engineering with a 3.51 GPA. He says the best thing about being a Virginia Tech engineering student is that there is a sense of community and he feels like that is important because it lets you know there are people just like you. Since Kelechi was in middle school, he knew that he wanted to be an engineer but was uncertain about the type of engineering. Now that Kelechi is at Virginia Tech, he dreams of starting an aerospace company or being involved in creating something that changes the world. If he could change one thing, he would change the amount of gun violence in America.

As a Virginia Tech student, Kelechi was in the Galileo Living Learning Community as a freshman and is a current member of NSBE. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and playing games and sports.

Kelechi mentioned that his role model is Kobe Bryant because of the mentality he had towards basketball and life in general. He also mentioned that his favorite cartoon character as a kid was Mordecai and Rigby from the Regular show because they got into bad situations and always found a way to get out of them.
