Andrew Alexis
"Doing the little things can make a difference"
Andrew Alexis is a 2nd-year student at Virginia Tech pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. Originally from Linwood, NJ, Andrew has a GPA of 3.788 and appreciates the abundant resources and supportive community at Virginia Tech.
He has two siblings and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, stargazing, and playing soccer. A fan of classic rock music, Andrew's favorite film is "Interstellar," and he admires Goofy from Disney for his genuine yet humorous actions.
Andrew’s role model is his father, who has taught him to be self-confident and solve problems independently. Inspired by dreams of becoming an astronaut since middle school, Andrew now aspires to design and fly rockets, with hopes of one day going to space.
At Virginia Tech, he has been involved with the CEED group, which helped him engage more in campus activities. Outside of academics, Andrew volunteers by providing sound services at his home church and regularly cleaning up trash in his community.
If he could change one thing, it would be to make 77 + 33 equal 100.
