What will I learn?

  • Day 2: Cryptography
  • Day 3: Network Security
  • Day 4: Data Science/Security Informatics
  • Day 5: Ethics and Policy

What will the day look like?       

TIME - ACTIVITY

8:00-9:00 - Arrival and Breakfast
9:00-9:15 - Beginning of Class Announcements/Admin
9:15-10:30 - Lecture
10:30-10:45 - Morning Break & Snack
10:45-12:00 - Lab and Hands-on Activity Time
12:00-12:30 - Lunch
12:30-1:30 - Career Speaker & Finish Lunch
1:30-2:45 - Lecture or Lab
2:45-3:00 - Afternoon Break
3:00-4:15 - Lab and Hands-on Activity Time
4:15-4:30 - Cleanup and Dismissal

What will I need to do to prepare?

There will be approximately 23 hours of virtual instruction on core computer literacy, how to use Jupyter Notebooks and any other required software and the basics of Python programming prior to the start of camp. Dates and times TBD. Participants will be provided a Chromebook pre-loaded with all required software for the duration of camp. If a laptop is needed ahead of time, please let us know.

What does it cost?

The program is free to all participants. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided daily and each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. This is a day camp only. Housing and transportation are not included.
