Project Goals

Our Focused Ultrasound (FUS) One Health Program at VT leverages the strengths of our faculty to accelerate the worldwide adoption of FUS therapies for human and veterinary patients. Track 2 investment will enable us to execute our multi-pronged funding and development pathways identified in Track 1. Our immediate goal is to establish a first-of-its-kind FUS Engineering Innovation Hub with funding support from NIH P41 and NSF ERC proposals, supplemented by strong internal, industry, and NGO support. Track 2 will also expand our rapidly growing FUS research portfolio while laying the foundation for launching dedicated Veterinary and Clinical FUS Treatment Centers.
