Project Goal

Advanced air mobility (AAM) promises a radical shift in the aerial delivery of people, goods, and services and requires several coordinated innovations to enable the safe integration of new aircraft and their modes of operation into the national airspace. Certification and airspace management are the key barriers to the future success of the AAM paradigm. This program develops a demonstration virtual environment for operations and communications testing to burn down the uncertainty associated with novel aerial platforms operating in urban and other challenging aerodynamic environments ahead of full-scale certification testing, in alignment with the needs of industry and government authorities.
