Anna Ross is a double major in both Industrial and Systems Engineering and Theatre with a Performance focus, with a minor in Statistics. She has been involved in CEED since her freshman year as a resident of Hypatia. During her sophomore year, she was both a peer mentor for the community and an Outreach Committee member, coordinating events at local schools to get young kids exciting about engineering. She is now serving as the Service Committee Liaison, coordinating events serving Blacksburg and the surrounding area. Anna has been committed to service since her twelve year tenure as a Girl Scout, and is grateful for the opportunity to continue her commitment to service in college through CEED.

Anna is also involved in many different activities on campus. These include Alpha Omega Epsilon Social and Professional Engineering Sorority, Hokie Ambassadors (the campus tour guides), Lolopolis Improv Comedy Group, Relay for Life, University Honors and various productions in the theatre department. She was cast as Peter Quince in the School of Performing Arts’ production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in spring 2015, as Frances in Melancholy Play in fall 2015, and will be assistant directing Boeing, Boeing in spring 2016. Anna is also a Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress fellow for the 2015-2016 year. Finally, Anna is both an Engineering Dean’s Scholar and a Pamplin Scholar.

Anna was a Manufacturing Engineering Purchasing Intern at Rolls-Royce North America in summer 2015. In the future, Anna would like to work in consulting, project management, and/or statistical quality management. She would also like to continue working in improv comedy and is currently working on sketch-writing and a stand-up set. Ultimately, Anna wants to continue expanding her knowledge in all areas that interest her and find passion in all the work that she does.
