Ethan Spencer

Ethan Spencer, a junior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech, is a highly accomplished student with a remarkable GPA of 3.96. Hailing from McLean, VA, he takes great pride in being a Virginia Tech Engineer. For Ethan, the best thing about being an engineering student at VT is the opportunity to learn the laws that govern the universe, which fuels his passion for understanding and exploring the mechanics of the world around him.

Outside of academics, Ethan is a multifaceted individual with a variety of hobbies. He finds joy in playing the guitar, building PCs, singing, and cooking, allowing him to express his creativity and technical skills. Furthermore, Ethan has a strong connection with his family, being one of three siblings with two sisters. In addition to his human family members, he shares his home with an adorable assortment of pets: three cats named Maya, Diamond, and Stevie Wonder, a dog named Reecie, and a rabbit named Bo.

As a role model, Ethan looks up to his grandad, who persevered through adversities during his younger years to build a better future for himself and his family. This inspirational figure has instilled in Ethan a drive to succeed and make a positive impact on the world.

In the past, during his middle school days, Ethan dreamt of becoming an animator, a path that showcased his artistic inclinations. However, since joining Virginia Tech, his aspirations have shifted towards more ambitious endeavors. Now, he dreams of starting a nuclear power company, aiming to contribute to sustainable and efficient energy solutions for the future.

Despite his academic and professional pursuits, Ethan also dedicates his time to volunteering and giving back to the community. He is actively involved in the worship teams of both CRU and Young Life on campus, using his talents to uplift and inspire others.

Looking forward, if Ethan could change one thing, it would be to educate everyone in the world, emphasizing the importance of knowledge and understanding in creating a more compassionate and informed global society. With his passion for learning and dedication to making a difference, Ethan embodies the true spirit of a driven and caring individual.
