Christopher Johnson

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
I choose to live my life as though everything is a miracle and I absolutely relish the fact that I get to go out and do amazing things every day.
Christopher Johnson is a sophomore majoring in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at Virginia Tech with a GPA of 3.43. Hailing from Westport, Connecticut, he’s enthusiastic about the vibrant community and numerous opportunities available to engineering students at Tech. Christopher values the strong network of alumni and enjoys connecting with peers who are passionate about diverse engineering projects.
He has an older sister and, although he no longer has any pets, he fondly remembers his dog. His hobbies include skiing, playing tennis, and trying new experiences. Christopher's favorite cartoon group is Mystery Inc. from Scooby-Doo due to their inquisitiveness and humor. In terms of music, he enjoys R&B and lists The Matrix as one of his favorite films.
Christopher admires his mother for her foundational role in shaping his values and beliefs. Initially dreaming of becoming a large animal vet, inventor, or chef, he now aspires to find a job that allows him to travel and use engineering to assist those in economically unstable environments. He’s actively involved with the BEST mentorship program through CEED and volunteers at a local food pantry, with plans to further engage with VT Engage. If given the chance to change one thing, Christopher would work to address the global hunger crisis.
