Miguel Avalos Maza is from Loudoun, Virginia. He is interested in majoring in Aerospace Engineering. He has always wanted to be an Aerospace Engineer because he loves math and has always been fascinated by space. His dream job is to work on spacecraft missions for NASA that involve deep space explorations. His hobbies include swimming, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. |
Dianne Barahona Bonilla
Dianne is from Ashburn, Virginia, and is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech. She has a strong interest in language, robotics, and quantum science and is eager to engage in research that explores innovative solutions to improve accessibility. Dianne aims to apply her engineering skills to address community challenges and contribute to technological advancements while using her language skills to strengthen communication in diverse environments. |
Henry Bransome

Henry Bransome is from Fairfax, Virginia. He is currently majoring in general engineering at Virginia Tech with an intended degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). What excites him most about engineering is the endless opportunities to apply creativity and problem-solving skills to improve processes, drive efficiency, and create lasting change. Destiny Cartagena
Major: General Engineering
Destiny is from Manassas, Virginia and is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech. From participating in internships and a variety of experiences, her passions lie within the development of robotics and aerospace as she continues to seek innovation through design teams and research. Ultimately, she wishes to break down the complexities of the engineering field further into its core electrical systems through her Identity as a first generation Bolivian woman within STEM. |
Kadiya Ellis
Major: General Engineering
Kadiya Ellis is from Richmond, Virginia and plans to major in Construction and Engineering Management. Her goal is to manage and coordinate construction projects. She has always been passionate about the construction process as well as entrepreneurship. She would love to own her own business. She loves to bowl, bake, and watch shows/movies. The Clark Scholarship gives me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and help my community. |
Raven Huerte

Raven Huerte is a Computer Engineering student at Virginia Tech with a strong passion for combining engineering and sustainability. She is focused on energy-efficient systems and renewable technologies, particularly solar panels and wind turbines, to make a positive environmental impact. Muhammad Khurram
Major: General Engineering
Muhammad is from Dumfries, Virginia and is interestedin majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He loves modifying, modding, and exploring technology. His dream career would be to at Microsoft, working in embedded-systems and low-level programming. He likes games such as Yakuza and watching shows like One Piece. His favorite quote is: "A man's dream... never dies!" |
Jayden Ko
Major: General Engineering
Jayden is from Bristow, Virginia and is pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. His personal life motto is to expand upon the known and discover the unknown. He is thankful for the Clark scholarship for allowing him to continue living by this motto. He has lots of extracurricular experience in STEM areas with a specific focus on robotics and programming fields. He plans on using this experience to obtain professional work experience to further his skills in computer engineering. He has already joined two robotics design teams as an electrical/software member and is set to start research in the Spring for virtual reality simulation use in military training. Ultimately, his overarching goal is to use his skills and expertise to pursue what engineering was always meant to do: make the world a better place. |

Benjamin Lomeling is from Richmond, Virginia and plans to major in Computer Science at Virginia Tech. He plans on developing his skills in programming, software development, and problem-solving to help make a change in the tech industry. Emanuel (EJ) is currently in general engineering with a desire to major in Construction Engineering Management. He is from Richmond, Va where he attended one of the most prestigious all boys' schools in the Nation, Saint Christopher's. He is a hard worker with a loving personality, and is always looking for ways to improve himself. |
