Program: As a partner with Virginia Tech, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Hamburg, Germany) provides an excellent opportunity for studying  aeronautical engineering abroad.

Dates: March—July

Recommended level: Undergraduate Standing: Junior or Senior

Prerequisites: Minimum GPA 2.9

Cost:  Current costs can be found here: HAW-Hamburg: Visa, costs and funding

Application deadline: Typically in September for Spring.

Architecture of the Aircraft Cabin, AOE 2104

Electrical Cabin Systems, AOE 2054 

Industry Design Team Project, AOE 2024 or ESM 2204; AOE 2104

Aeronautical Engineering – Individual research project, AOE 2104

Aircraft Engines (Juniors and above), AOE 2104 and 3014

Mechanical Aircraft Cabin Systems (Juniors and above), AOE 3014

Aircraft Design (Juniors and above), AOE 2024 or ESM 2204; AOE 2104; ESM 2304; MATH 2214

Loughborough University Senior Design Collaboration

Location: United Kingdom

Language of Instruction: English

Program Terms:  Spring semester (1-week ) in odd years (stay tuned for Spring 2025)

Discipline: Aeronautical Engineering

Undergrad Standing: Senior

Prerequisites: Co-register for senior design AOE 4065 and 4066

Application Deadline: First week of classes in fall semester

Description: Students may volunteer to join the LU-VT Collaborative Project team as part of the senior design course.
