CEED Celebration

CEED students stand under a balloon arch.

Celebrate CEED and Bevlee Watford's legacy

Since opening its doors in 1992, the Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity (CEED) has been a beacon of hope and a comforting place for potential and current students to be part of the Virginia Tech Engineering community. Founding Director and Associate Dean Bevlee Watford has been at the helm throughout its history and guided it forward to evolve into an incredible community for students.

We invite you to help us celebrate CEED and honor Watford as she steps down into retirement this summer.

Share your CEED story and the impact of Associate Dean Watford

Were you part of a CEED program?  Did you participate in Peer Mentoring, live in Hypatia or Galileo, attend Women’s Preview Weekend, or another program focused on bringing together diverse communities in the Virginia Tech College of Engineering? We invite you to share your experiences.

Tell us about how CEED and/or Associate Dean Watford have impacted you personally and in your career.

We will be using the reflections that you provide as we honor Watford in her retirement.

Come to Blacksburg and celebrate with CEED and Associate Dean Watford
