"One moment can change a day, one day can change a life, and one life can change the world."

Bryan Angel, a senior pursuing a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech, is an aspiring engineer with a GPA of 3.62. Hailing from Richmond, VA, Bryan finds the best thing about being a Virginia Tech Engineer is the incredible people he can meet and the exceptional quality of professors who are always willing to lend a helping hand. With three siblings and no pets, Bryan enjoys going on hikes, skateboarding, hanging out with friends, and binge-watching shows in his free time.

When asked about his favorite cartoon character, Bryan immediately mentions Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece. He admires Luffy's attitude, determination, and unwavering loyalty to his friends. Bryan's favorite genre of music is indie, and his top film pick is "Baby Driver." As for role models, Lionel Messi, the renowned soccer player, holds a special place in Bryan's heart. He has been inspired by Messi's incredible skills and the joy he brings to the field.

In middle school, Bryan dreamt of becoming a professional soccer player, but now, as a student at Virginia Tech, he aspires to lead the charge in commercial spaceflight. His dream is to explore uncharted territories in space and contribute to expanding humanity's knowledge of the universe.

Bryan is actively involved with CEED (Center for Enhancement of Engineering Diversity) and the College of Engineering as a pathways scholar. He is particularly engaged in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), where he fosters connections and expands his involvement with CEED and the College of Engineering. Additionally, Bryan dedicates his time to volunteer service. He participated in the Big Event and serves on the Outreach Committee in SHPE, collaborating with other organizations both on and off campus to provide service to the community.

If Bryan could change one thing, he would tackle the inequality faced by underrepresented groups who lack the resources to advocate for themselves. He envisions a future where everyone has equal and accessible opportunities, ensuring a fair and inclusive society.
