Pathways 2024 Summer Program

Pre-College Support (Before Admitted to Virginia Tech)

Pathways for Future Engineers includes a number of initiatives to support high school students on the pathway to college. Students may apply to the program as rising 10th, 11th, or 12th graders. Pre-college program components include:

1. Summer Engineering Programs

Through two-week summer programs, Pathways participants gain hands-on exposure to engineering careers through team-based design projects and laboratory activities. Pathways Summer 2024 details to come!

2. College Application Support

During summer programs and campus visits, Pathways for Future Engineers provides support for students and families on topics such as financial aid, college applications, SAT/ACT testing, math readiness, admissions essays, and more.

3. Campus Visits

Participants in Pathways for Future Engineers will visit campus one time each semester, engaging with activities ranging from engineering design challenges to the Hokie Spring Football Game!

4. Build Community

Through Pathways, participants connect with current Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff as well as other prospective students from the state of Virginia.
