Featured Faculty-Led Program

VT Faculty-Led: Green Engineering, Culture, and History in Peru

This course offered on the Blacksburg campus includes a ten-day trip to Peru following the course in 2025 (dates to be determined).

This interdisciplinary program immerses engineering students in Peru’s green manufacturing practices shaped by cultural values and economic factors. Through guided tours and site visits, students will explore how sustainability and tradition intersect in business operations. Comparative insights with U.S. practices deepen understanding of global production strategies. Cultural excursions enrich the experience, highlighting Peru’s unique identity.

DIS: Study Abroad in Scandinavia

With DIS, you can pursue your academic and personal goals abroad, and build your own summer session or semester to fit your needs. The curriculum is broad, cutting edge, and enriched by experiential learning components. You will have the chance to study abroad in Stockholm or Copenhagen, or both and explore life in a progressive capital that offers the perfect balance of history and modern living.

The GREEN Program (TGP) is a VT partner that offers short-term, sustainability-focused study abroad experiences. Even better—you can earn Virginia Tech credit that counts directly toward your Green Engineering minor.
