The CAD/CFD/FEA lab is a place where students can work together to solve design problems associated with their projects. Two dry erase boards and large computer screens make sharing visual information easy, while the chair and long table groupings provide a social setting for problem solving and discussion. There are six Dell and two iMac computer stations for student use. A safety station in the lab contains all the MSDS sheets and safety information on various materials used in the Ware Lab. Different types of gloves and goggles are also available for students to use when building their projects.
Students have access to the following programs:
- Adobe Design Premium
- Altair Hypershape CATIA
- Altair Hyperworks
- Autodesk Inventor*
- MathWorks MATLAB, Simulink, and Sim-mechanics
- Microsoft Office
- Plasma CAM
- Pro Engineer
- RISA (Rapid Interactive Structural Analysis)
- UGS NX
- Wolfram Mathematica
