Hyperloop
Hyperloop is a high-speed transportation system using a passenger-carrying pod in a near-vacuum tube that is envisioned to reach speeds in excess of 700 mph.

What is Hyperloop at VT?
We are a student-led interdisciplinary organization inventing the future of transportation. After placing fourth in the first ever international Hyperloop Design weekend, we have made a name for ourselves by submitting designs and being invited to compete in all SpaceX Hyperloop competitions. The brainchild of Tesla founder Elon Musk, Hyperloop is a high-speed transportation system using a passenger-carrying pod in a near-vacuum tube that is envisioned to reach speeds in excess of 700 mph. Each year, we continue to grow our team and introduce new concepts to the Hyperloop competition. We are proud to represent the engineering mindset of Virginia Tech on an international stage!
