Kevin Kochersberger, Alumni Award for Excellence in International Outreach
Dr. Kevin Kochersberger was recognized with the presitigious Alumni Award for Excellence in International Outreach in recognition of his years of work in Lilongwe, Malawi developing the accredited drone training program supported by UNICEF. Dr. Kochersberger is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and leads the Uncrewed Systems Lab. His international work has also been recognized with the Xcellence Humanitarian Award in 2021 from the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International.
Glenda Scales inducted into the Academy of Faculty Leadership
The Academy of Faculty Leadership at Virginia Tech recognizes outstanding leaders within the university who go above and beyond a faculty member's usual responsibilties. Founding Director of the Academy for Global Engineering and Associate Dean for Global Engagement Dr. Glenda R. Scales was inducted in May 2022 in recognition of her years of work developing a culture of collaborative leadership within the College of Engineering in the areas of global engagement and online learning.
