The Baja SAE team's mission is to design and construct a single-seat off-road vehicle to meet the rules set forth by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
What is Baja SAE?
Baja SAE consists of competitions that simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Engineering students are tasked to design and build an off-road vehicle that will survive the severe punishment of rough terrain. The objective of the competition is to provide a challenging project that involves the design, planning and manufacturing tasks found when introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market. Teams compete against one another to have their design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm.
Who can join?
We are currently seeking dedicated students with a passion for engineering, teamwork, and racing. For more information on how to join please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In 2018, Project Daffy placed 40th overall in the Maryland competition, 21st in Kansas, and 24th in Oregon, with a top 15 finish in cost and hill climb.
