Strategic Priorities

The College of Engineering strategic plan centers around three strategic priorities: strengthen our community, build the infrastructure and resources to support our vision, and align education and research for impact in a rapidly changing world. 

Associated with each of these three priorities are a variety of goals we use to guide implementation activities and evaluation processes.

  2. Grow and diversify revenue streams
  3. Strategically deploy current resources (money, time, data) to advance our mission

Strategic Priority 3: Align Education and Research for Impact in a Rapidly Changing World

Goals

  1. Offer forward-looking, affordable education at scale so graduates are workforce ready
  2. Accelerate activity in COE signature areas spanning research and education
  3. Develop AI-readiness for engineering research, education, and practice
  4. Coordinate with and leverage VT’s geographically distributed Innovation Network 
  5. Elevate the COE reputation nationally and internationally
