Responsibilities  

Randell serves as the Graduate Assistant for Outreach to provide support for the activities and initiatives of the GEER office.

Her main focus is supporting the Global Ambassadors Program and using communication strategies to increase global engagement across the college. Her work includes coordinating marketing and special events and supporting the office’s web and social media outreach. 

Education 

Randell holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. She is currently a Planning Governance and Globalization Ph.D student in the School of Public and International Affairs here at Virginia Tech.

Background 

Before joining the college of Engineering in 2019, Randell worked at Ferrum College with First Generation students and as a member of the Academic Resource Team. From 2014-2017 Randell worked in Rural Liberia, West Africa recruiting students nationwide for Tubman University. Her other work experiences include working with cultural centers at Northeastern University in Boston and providing resources for international students through the Global Services Office.
