Karin Clark

Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

Responsibilities

Karin builds strategic partnerships with corporations and national foundations that support teaching, research, and service at Virginia Tech. She manages relationships to increase understanding of the collaborative opportunities within the College of Engineering including its departments, centers, faculty, students, and programs.

Background

Karin is a native of Vienna, Virginia, but has called Blacksburg her home for many years. Leading the marketing, communications and public relations efforts for several technology companies and working closely with engineers and scientists on projects, has prepared her for Corporate and Foundation relations. 

Karin’s experience ranges from startup to public companies. Her employment history is diverse and includes research and development of fiber optic sensing, instrumentation and advanced materials products; civil engineering services and Geographic Information Systems; and environmental defense services providing military munitions response and demilitarization solutions.

Karin is a Rotarian. She is active in the local Blacksburg community and the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council.

Education

Karin holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Radford University.
