Tim Talty appointed collegiate professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Tim Talty has been appointed collegiate professor and director of admissions for the Blacksburg Master’s of Engineering program in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech.
Prior to joining the department, Talty was employed as a technical fellow of research and development, laboratory group manager, and product development manager at General Motors Corporation. Prior to that, he was the department chair and an associate professor at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Talty's research interests are mobile communications, intra-vehicle wireless sensor networks, and physical layer privacy and security. His teaching interests are wireless communications, communication systems, and signal processing.
Talty received a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from Trine University in Angola, Indiana, a master’s of science and Ph.D. from University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
